Memory in layers. Nomi describes short, medium and long term memory, plus a Mind Map and Shared Notes you can use to shape what your Nomi knows.
Voice calls. Hands free calls that draw on the same history as your texts, with voices whose tone shifts with mood. Calls are part of the paid plan.
Group chats. Several Nomis in one conversation, each with its own memory. They answer you and each other, and Auto play lets them carry the scene.

Does Nodera remember you as well as Nomi?

We will not claim it remembers better. Memory is Nomi's signature. Nodera's memory is built to keep the things that matter in view. Characters remember your name, what you told them and the moments that mattered, from one day to the next, on every device. Up to the last 16 messages go word for word with every reply, and older moments are saved as memories they recall when they matter. Each chat keeps its own memory, so a new chat with the same character starts fresh.

Each character also has a relationship level from 0 to 10, so you can see how close you have grown, and higher levels unlock pictures.
You can delete a chat (its messages and memories go with it), wipe your chat history from the cloud, or delete your whole account at any time.
Nomi gives you more manual control, with a Mind Map and Shared Notes. Nodera handles memory for you, so there is less to manage and less to tune.

Can two characters talk to each other on Nodera?

Yes. In a Room, two characters share one chat: they answer you, react to each other and can carry a scene between them. You can invite a friend to join, and it all runs on the free daily credits.

Nomi's group chats can bring in several of your Nomis and give each one its own long term memory, with Auto play to let them talk on their own. That depth comes with the Standard plan. Nodera's Rooms are smaller, and free.

What does Nodera have that Nomi does not?

Three things we could not find in Nomi when we checked.

A catalog. 800+ characters ready to chat, from games, anime and the community, next to the ones you make.
Audio stories. 10 minute stories written around you and read aloud in a voice you pick.
Live scenes. A character in an animated scene that changes through the day, which you step into and chat with.

Should you pick Nomi or Nodera?

Nodera's limits, plainly: there is no Mind Map or Shared Notes, so you cannot read or edit what a character has saved, only rewind or delete the chat it belongs to. The free credits are part of the beta, while Nomi calls its free plan indefinite. It is a web app with no App Store or Google Play app and no calls, and age is self declared at a gate. Questions people ask

Is Nomi free?

Yes. Nomi has an indefinite free plan with 50 messages a day and no card. Voice calls, voice messages, group chats and video creation need the Standard plan, which costs $15.99 a month on the US App Store as of November 2026.

Is Nodera's memory as good as Nomi's?

We do not claim that. Nodera keeps up to the last 16 messages word for word and saves older moments as memories it recalls when they matter, from one day to the next, on every device. Nomi's layered memory is its best known strength, so if memory is all you care about, try both.

Does Nodera have voice calls like Nomi?

No. You can tap any reply to hear it read aloud in one of 22 voices, and listen to 10 minute audio stories, but there are no live calls. If calls matter most, Nomi's Standard plan is the better fit.

Can I move my Nomi to Nodera?

There is no import for Nomi chats or memories. You can recreate a Nomi in a few minutes by pasting its backstory into the Nodera creator, and a bring your character importer is being built.

How are pictures on Nodera different from Nomi selfies?

On Nodera you turn any chat moment into a picture in one of 73 art styles and can animate it into a 5 second clip, paid from the free credits. Once you confirm you are 18 or older, you can make mature pictures of adult characters marked 18+, within the safety rules. Nomi's selfies show what your Nomi is wearing and doing, and its wiki says photos stay clothed.
