Is Nodera really free?
Yes. During the beta, payments are switched off, so there is nothing to buy and no card to give. Every account gets 500 credits a day, plus a 400 credit welcome bonus once, and everything in the app runs on those credits: chat, pictures, her voice and audio stories. No feature is held back for subscribers, because there are none.

Not ready to sign up? You can send 5 messages to a character before you make an account. Guest chat only opens characters that are not 18+, so mature roleplay needs a free account and your confirmation that you are an adult.
How many messages a day do you get free?
About 100. A message costs 5 credits, so 500 credits cover about 100 messages, or fewer if you also make pictures or listen to replies. As an example, 80 messages, ten pictures and ten voice replies use the whole day's credits.
When you run out, you wait for the next refill. You cannot buy more during the beta, and that is the real limit of the free tier: if you send hundreds of messages a day, you will hit it. A few extras help: 100 bonus credits on your first visit each day, 200 for you and each friend who signs up with your code, and 1,000 when a character you made is approved for the public catalog.
What expires, and what do you keep?
Credits expire; nothing else does. The daily refill arrives on its own about once a day, and credits you have not used expire 24 hours after they arrive, so you cannot save them up for a long weekend. Bonus credits last longer:

Everything else stays. Your chats, her memories of you, the characters you made and the pictures you kept stay in your account until you delete them. Running out of credits pauses new messages until the next refill; it does not lock you out of your chats.

Some apps give you a daily allowance, others a one time taste before a subscription. This is what a new free account gets, checked on November 5, 2026. Prices are in US dollars and can differ by country and by store.

A few patterns stand out. Candy.ai and Kindroid offer a one time taste rather than a daily allowance. Nomi and JanitorAI let you chat every day for free, JanitorAI with no message cap at all. Nodera sits between them on messages; what it adds is that pictures, voice replies and animation draw on the same daily credits.
Will Nodera stay free after the beta?
Payments are off today, and Nodera never asks for a card, so there is nothing that could renew or charge you by surprise. If payments are switched on, this page will say so, with the date.
We are not promising more than that. Credit amounts and what each action costs can change while the app is in beta, which is why this page carries the date it was checked.
Which free option fits you best?
It depends on how you chat. Two other apps are the better free pick for some people, and Nodera has limits worth knowing before you sign up.
Another app may suit you better if
- You chat for hours every day and want no message cap. JanitorAI's free tier has no message limit, and you can bring your own model or API key, which Nodera does not allow.
- You want a phone app and voice calls. Nomi has iPhone and Android apps and 50 free messages a day; calls come with its subscription.
Nodera may suit you better if
- You want pictures, voice replies and clips without a subscription: they come out of the same 500 daily credits.
- You want her to remember you from one day to the next, on every device, and a relationship that grows over 10 levels and unlocks her gallery.
- You want romance and mature roleplay with adult characters, within clear safety rules, at no cost.
- You want to make your own character, in your phone's browser, with nothing to install.
Know the limits too. Nodera is a web app only, with no App Store or Google Play app. There are no voice calls and no way to bring your own model or API key. The free credits cover about 100 messages a day, the app is a beta, and age is self declared: you confirm you are 18 or older at a gate.

Is mature content part of the free tier?
Yes. Mature content is not a paid extra on Nodera: once you confirm you are 18 or older, the 18+ content setting comes on, and the same free credits apply. It stays within the safety rules on our adult content page.
Which app gives the most free messages?
Of the apps on this page, JanitorAI has no message cap on its standard models and CrushOn offers unlimited chat on its slower free models. Nodera gives about 100 a day and Nomi 50 a day. Candy.ai allows 5 in total, and Kindroid a one time preview of 50.
Will Nodera start charging?
Payments are off during the beta. If that changes, this page will say so, with the date. Nodera holds no card details, so nothing can renew without you choosing it.
